Been a while since I posted here but I got a ping about this post where I talked about what I expected from Ncuti Gatwa's Doctor and their adventures with Ruby Sunday. After watching the season, I think I was right in saying the Doctor should be fun and their adventures should be fun.
This was, by all measures, a season which hearkened back to the first years of the Modern Era. It felt like watching Chris Eccleston and Billie Piper all over again. Both Chris and Ncuti played Doctors coming from great trauma and wanting to escape it, even if they did it in different ways (with Nine having to learn to rediscover love and Fifteen openly embracing it.) Both of them also had to face trauma at the end of their first season (in Chris's case, his only season): Nine dealt with the return of the Daleks, nearly losing Rose, and having to sacrifice himself just as he was starting to recover, while Fifteen had to cope with how death followed them everywhere, regardless of their longing for peace, positivity, and fun.
Ruby was very much just a normal girl like Rose, and I think her unexplained magic abilities don't take away from that. Rose also underwent a transformation in her second (and final) season, where she got locked in an alternate timeline and (sort of) became the Bad Wolf. I believe we'll therefore learn more about Ruby's abilities and see her character transform in her second season, as well as learn about Mrs. Flood and how she plays into the Doctor's timeline. (Early thoughts: River, another child of Amy and Rory, the Rani, another pre-Hartnell Doctor, a future Doctor, etc. etc. etc.)
Anyway: This season was definitely fun, but brought back the philosophical and historical bits which originally made Doctor Who at least somewhat educational and thought-provoking. I think this was what was missing from Moffatt's and Chibnall's runs on the show: It became more centered around the wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey lore and less around tying the history/sci-fi to current issues. (The Capaldi era actually did this somewhat well, but I'm biased because I love Capaldi.) Here's the ranking of episodes from best to okay:
Rogue
Dot and Bubble
73 Yards
Boom
The Devil's Chord
Space Babies
The Legend of Ruby Sunday/Empire of Death
This first season did, in my opinion, feel too much like a taste of Doctor Who, or a "Season 1A." Series 7 was like this too, where we had so much left unresolved and underdeveloped after those first five episodes. (Not that the rest of Series 7 was much better, IMHO.) At least this first season for Ncuti felt a little more full, but now I'm even more excited to see what happens to the Doctor, Ruby, and whoever Varada Sethu will play in the next season. Perhaps that was the twist all along. Damn you, Russell! Damn you, Disney Plus!
Was this the finest season of the new incarnation of the show? No, but I would certainly give it a solid B. The writing was quite good, the acting was phenomenal, and the general vibe of the show definitely gave the impression that Doctor Who was back, baby. But the development did feel a bit rushed, and there were certain parts of the Doctor's character left over from previous incarnations which I thought they would have processed differently. Plus, I view other seasons of the show (Series 1, 2, 5, 8, 9, 10) more favorably. Call it bias, call it favoritism, call it nostalgia.
Whatever. Point is that Ncuti and Millie had a lot to prove in this semi-reboot of the show, and RTD had to show he still had his stuff, and by golly, they did it. I - as well as plenty of other long-time fans - haven't been this excited about the show in a while, despite how the season ended. And you're telling us we've gotta wait now for Christmas and then some time in the middle of 2025 for more? It's like I'm a high school fanatic raving mad in the middle of my bedroom again. What a wild feeling.

Returning characters:
Tumblr media
Jemma Redgrave as Kate Stewart, head of UNIT.
Tumblr media
Bonnie Langford as former companion Mel Bush.
Villains:
Tumblr media
Jinkx Monsoon as a villain favouring piano-themed attire, described as "the Doctor's most powerful enemy yet". Not everyone survives the encounter...
Tumblr media
Indira Varma as the Duchess. RTD: "a whole new audience will be hiding behind the settee when the Duchess unleashes her terror." Varma previously played Suzie Costello on 2 episodes of Torchwood.
Other characters:
Tumblr media
Aneurin Barnard as Roger ap Gwilliam.
Jonathan Groff as a "mysterious key" character.
Tumblr media
Lenny Rush as Morris, in time for the Doctor's "greatest nightmare". RTD: "But what secrets does he hold? What's secreted in the Segway?! And will his terrifying probabilities be proved true..?"
Jack Forsyth-Noble as Will.
Gemma Arrowsmith and Mary Malone will appear in the Christmas special, while Majid Mehdizadeh-Valoujerdy and Billy Brayshaw will appear in separate episodes.
Tumblr media
Also announced to be appearing: Sophie Ablett, Anita Dobson, Michelle Greenidge, Bhav Joshi, Millie Kent, Eilidh Loan, Pete MacHale, Miles Yekinni, Hemi Yeroham. Dobson previously appeared in the audio play "Blood of the Daleks".
EPISODES
There will be a Christmas special in December 2023, followed by an eight-episode season. (The BBC posted that the season would air in spring, but then removed the information.) Russell T Davies is the showrunner.
A guest star from 2005 returned for the special.
Episode 1's title was coincidentally spoken aloud in a third-season episode of Star Trek: Picard. It includes the words roar, Glastonbury, and conquistador.
Episode 2 contains the words Liverpool, legions, and non-diegetic. Scene 10 begins "INT. CANTEEN. DAY."
RTD thinks episode 4 is one of the best things he's ever written. The line "I once went to the top of the Shard" was cut from it.
The script for episode 7 begins with the line "INT. COFFEE BAR, USA — DAY, 1947".
Episode 8 will contain the words kingdom, gold, and Tigella. Scene 73, featuring the Doctor and Ruby in the TARDIS while "enemies are being fought", was the last scene filmed for the season.
Tumblr media
There's a 1960s episode, featuring the Doctor and Ruby in snazzy period outfits.
Tumblr media
The episode guest-starring both Varma and Groff will be set in the Regency era. "Dress to impress, and beware the Duchess."
CREATOR RAMBLINGS
According to RTD, we will be "staggered" by the 2023 festive season surprises.
There are monsters which are "impossible to describe" without referencing Fourth and Seventh Doctor adventures.
RTD promises that there are "plans still unfurling" which have yet to be made public.
Production designer Philip Sims said he was excited about "designing a new Dalek".
Davies has hinted that the blue doors Michelle Greenidge and Anita Dobson were photographed with are significant.
Script editor Scott Handcock mentioned filming which required nine babies, as well as Ncuti and Millie.
Monsoon's first day on set "teams her with an unexpected name from the Tom Baker era".
Anita Dobson has said she's playing Ruby's neighbour, whose name is either Mrs. Flood or Blood.
RTD used a potato emoji while commenting on publicity photos from the Regency episode (Sontarans?). Davies was also very coy about the identity of Groff's character.
RTD mentioned one episode having gone through three titles with no decision having yet been made. Another episode had "sixpence" in the title for a while, until the coin was cut.
RTD teased a famous guest star appearing in a scene with a giant statue head in the finale.
While writing about the final days of filming, RTD said that "Yasmin Finney wrapped a few days ago".
OTHER
Filming began on December 7, 2022 and wrapped on July 14, 2023.
Block One was directed by Dylan Holmes Williams. Block Two was directed by Mark Tonderai. It included the Christmas special. Block Three was directed by Julie Anne Robinson. It contains "two wildly different episodes, by two different writers". Block Four was directed by Ben Chessell. Block Five was directed by Jamie Donoghue.
Posters of the Doctor and Ruby.
Fifteen will be getting a brand-new sonic screwdriver.
previous
Leaks and sources below the cut!
LEAKS
Michelle Greenidge appears to be playing Ruby Sunday's mother. Since Greenidge and Millie Gibson are different ethnicities, she is presumably an adoptive, foster, or step mother.
Campaign posters for the "Albion Party", with Roger ap Gwilliam as the "Space Saviour", were spotted on location filming.
Jinkx Monsoon is in the '60s episode.
Millie Kent is playing Valerie, and Sophie Ablett is Marti Bridges.
Mel Bush will be appearing in the season finale.
Reports from finale location filming, albeit second-hand, of someone on set saying, "This is where the Daleks come in".
According to his CV, Majid Mehdizadeh-Valoujerdy will be playing Carson in an episode directed by Julie Anne Robinson.
Davina McCall may be the returning 2005 guest star. She will apparently host a genealogy show on which Ruby appears, and will be crushed by a falling Christmas tree.
RUMOURS
UNIT may be getting its own spinoff. (SOURCE)
The DWM production journal has led some fans to theorize Steven Moffat will be returning as a writer.

doctor who empire of death spoilers
well, I watched the episode. it was okay I guess. I didn't like how they ended Ruby's story. I know she'll return in the next season but idk why she'll return her story looks like it ended but we'll see.
her mom is an ordinary person, why? they could've done so many other things but they went with this. idk I couldn't like it.
I haven't watched anything before the 2005 version, yet(hopefully I'll watch it this summer). so I didn't know who Sutekh was now I kinda know who he is but I probably would've preferred susan triad being the doctor's granddaughter.
and they mentioned 73 yards and we still don't have the answer we wondered in the 73 yards.
I have conflicted feelings about this season but I mostly liked it.
how did it snow? who is Mrs. flood?
I think Ruby's mother must be someone else. and maybe we'll see her next season(hopefully). ı would like it more.
I can't wait for season 2 and Varada Sethu. I am curious who she'll play.
today I learned Millie Gibson is 20. She is 2 years older than me. and Ruby is 19. I am getting older. wow, I could've been a companion. if I was a companion, I would want to travel with the doctor forever, like Donna.
I know Ruby has her parents she wants to spend time with them but how can you leave the doctor and live an ordinary boring life. why would you do that? I think Ruby will be bored too and will return to the doctor and have fun with him.
and are we supposed to believe 14th doctor did nothing when everyone was dying. even if he did nothing Donna wouldn't let him just wait. Her daughter died 14th and Donna would've tried to save the world. I really thought they would come. when they went to memory tardis I was like there is another tardis in the world. and it is functional. even if they didn't know how to save the world they would still be alive in tardis and they maybe meet with 15 and brainstorm to save the world.

73 Yards is an episode of Doctor Who. Kinda.
They just put a little horror movie in the middle of the season! And I enjoyed it! I think a big reason I'm really enjoying this season is that it's taking some big swings, trying some unique stuff. Of course I wish we had 13 episodes, but I'd rather 8 episodes that get experimental with it than a hundred by-the-numbers stories (Sorry Nick Briggs). (Sorry for the drive-by at Nick Briggs, it's just hard to resist sometimes).
This episode certainly took advantage of the supernatural available to it, as I hoped this season would. And by playing into the rules of horror (and Doctor Who is allowed to be any genre it wants,) it left a lot up to interpretation, which was very interesting and had my girlfriend and I discussing it for a while after it ended. I thought it was drawing some connection between ancient curses and right-wing politics, which is fair. And watching Ruby weaponise her ancient Welsh curse to make the prime minister resign was very funny and satisfying. I think I saw people somewhere talk about how a common thread through a lot of the situations and horrors was isolation and ostracism, which is a thread I want to pull on next time I watch it. Which might not be soon, because (as I might expect from RTD,) this was a bit bleak for me to be a common rewatch. But I love seeing people's various theories on the episode, keep 'em coming.
As for Ruby... I hate to say it, but I don't think this episode really endeared her to me more than any other. She's still a great performance by Millie Gibson (the youngest-looking 40 year old on the planet, bless this show,) and she's still a very capable protagonist. But personally, I'm just not getting anything more interesting than that from her. I'm glad the show so far hasn't been putting a crazy amount of stress on the fact she's adopted, but it hasn't given her any issues to replace that. I've seen people read some interesting stuff into her after this episode, but I didn't get any of it from the episode itself. I didn't even really know what she was thinking while she was growing old alone; you can assume 'sad,' but the episode didn't pause to give me anything more than assumptions. I should move on instead of saying this every episode, but I was hoping this ep would change my mind. Maybe she's one of the rare companions I just won't really click with. Or maybe, like Ryan, she'll become my favourite just before she leaves. Then again, aren't we getting a second companion next season? I'd love a new dynamic.
What else? Kate! She was a pleasant surprise, being as helpful as ever (sorry Kate) and making this her 10th episode! Which feels weird to say about a character who's had like 48 episodes of her own spin-off audio show. Oh but you know what else is weird to say? Kate's line "I think this timeline might be suspended along your event." What are you talking about Kate?? How would you even know that?! I assume the line's there to future-proof the episode against later Dr Who plots interfering with this one, but since when does Dr Who care about that. The line feels so out-of-place and meta (as well as kind of spoiling the ending by immediately making me think 'oh so this whole timeline is going to get undone then,') that I think they shouldn't have bothered.
Anything else to say? It felt a little weird that the episode takes a stand against the stereotype of rural Welsh people being isolated and insular by having a bunch of rural Welsh people be cruel to a nice person just because she's an outsider. Oh and they acknowledged Susan Twist's appearance in each episode then, I'm curious what that will turn into.
Speaking of season mysteries, I keep seeing the fan-theory 'they're in a TV show' turn up everywhere online. Which is a cool idea that Dr Who could pull off, but I've yet to see a single piece of convincing evidence for it. Keep coming up with bizarre and unsupported theories Who fans, don't ever change.
Oh and here's a really niche and petty complaint! I wish the show would stop using the phrase 'perception filter'. I think when it was first used, in series 3 I think, it was about something relatively specific, technology that Time Lords use to make something not draw attention (unless attention is drawn to it). But since then the phrase has been rolled out for shape-changing, invisibility, natural abilities as well as technology by any species under the suns, it can affect your memories, and hey now magic Welsh curses use it too. Personally, I think it's lost all meaning and feels a lot more like cheap and lazy writing than worldbuilding.
Okay! Those thoughts turned into me saying I loved the episode then listed a bunch of very petty complaints. But I did love it! More magic please. Maybe slightly happier one.
I'm not sure there's anything in the second half of this season I'm really hyped for, but after enjoying the first half a lot, I'm curious what'll turn up!

Doctor Who Review: S1/S14E02 - The Devil's Chord
The second episode of this season's double premiere, "The Devil's Chord" follows the Doctor and Ruby Sunday to 1963 as they go to watch the Beatles record their first album. But something has gone wrong with music, and the pair soon find themselves in a fight for the universe against the mysterious Maestro.
It's difficult to know where to begin with this episode, because I adored almost everything about it. It's beautiful on a technical level—the sound design, music, cinematography, and costumes are all top-notch—but it also hits so many good notes (if you'll pardon the pun) with the performances and action as well. There's a lot in this episode that's unsettling to me, but it's still a magnificent piece of fiction from start to finish.
If we have to start somewhere, then let's start with the standout guest star: Jinkx Monsoon, whose electrifying performance brings Maestro to life with a wicked, campy glee. From the first moment they appear, Maestro draws the eye--not just with their over-the-top costumes and makeup, but also with the way their mood seems to turn on a dime. One moment they're a little gleeful, and the next they're riding a wave of fury as they scream in a slightly lower register. I think it's fair to say that this episode largely works <em>because</em> of Monsoon, who makes Maestro feel equal parts campy and dangerous. The scene when Ruby and the Doctor are hiding from Maestro is a particular highlight for me; Monsoon owns the screen for those few minutes, her performance so magnetic that I felt like I couldn't look away. (I don't know if Doctor Who qualifies for the Emmys this year--it might because Disney is co-producing--but if it does, they really ought to submit Monsoon's performance in one of the Guest Role awards.)
And this isn't to sell Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson short--their performances are a little dwarfed by Maestro's screen presence, but no less excellent. The Doctor is only rarely out of his depth, and Gatwa really sells his terror and helplessness when Maestro first appears. Gibson does good work here, too; Ruby's horror at the nuclear winter in the alternate 2024 is grounded even more when she tearfully asks the Doctor where her mum is. Their chemistry together continues to delight me; the scenes when they're watching the various music recordings pop out in my memory. (Ruby gently patting the Doctor on the back as he's almost literally knocked over by how <em>bad</em> the orchestra is sticks out in particular.) They're making quite a good TARDIS team so far, and I can't wait to see what they do next.
But the thing that hits me hardest about this episode is the place it seems to hold in the season's overall story. We get a few more crumbs about Ruby's background, which are made all the more interesting because Maestro seems genuinely unnerved (and a little terrified?) by her. More significant to me, however, is the sheer number of fourth-wall breaks in the episode. Maestro acknowledges the camera twice and plays the opening notes of the show's theme song (bleeding into the opening credits themselves). The Doctor <em>also</em> winks at the camera at the end of the episode, and at one point makes a comment about non-diegetic music (namely, mistaking Maestro's diegetic music for the music that backs the whole show). That last is <em>especially</em> intriguing given the appearance of old musical themes in diegetic sound here. When the Doctor and Ruby encounter Maestro in the bad future, Maestro plays three notes of the opening theme, as well as the Master's theme from Series 3. The Doctor also seems to recognize the song Ruby first sings while under Maestro's control, but I haven't been able to positively identify that one yet. I have a feeling that this episode is going to be <em>vital</em>  to the season's arc, but I can't quite figure out <em>how</em> yet.
So that's a whole <em>other</em> ball of wax. I don't have a lot of coherent thoughts about the episode, but I do have a small list of things I liked, so let's get into that:
- First off, SUSAN FOREMAN. The Doctor tells Ruby about living in Shoreditch with his granddaughter, and Ruby asks him where Susan is. He speculates that she's probably gone (which to my mind makes me think that she might actually be coming <em>back</em>?? maybe???).
- In the same vein, I love that the Doctor is being more open about his past. Previous New Who Doctors often had to have backstory details dragged out of them, but Fifteen is a relatively fresh breath of air in comparison. I think this also ties in a little with the 60th anniversary specials, and the way the Doctor was more willing to be openly affectionate and more emotionally available. We see a lot of that still with Fifteen, both here and in "Space Babies."
- Another intriguing detail: the Doctor mentions seeing Ruby perform with her band at Christmas in "The Church on Ruby Road", which stuns Ruby a little, and which the Doctor does not explain further. I have my theories about what was going on with the Doctor "following" Ruby in that episode, but I'm going to sit on them for now.
- I know I mentioned the music up above, but I really liked how it was used in this episode. The non-diegetic music is largely absent when the Doctor and Ruby first arrive in 1963, only popping up in scenes where the characters are deep in their feelings (the Doctor's conversation with Paul; Ruby's song for Trudy on the rooftop). I've already discussed the use of diegetic music, but needless to say, I enjoyed the way this episode meta-fictionally played with the notion of music in film.
All in all, "The Devil's Chord" is a delightfully weird episode, with great performances all around and intriguing threads being laid for the stories ahead. With the next episode being written by Steven Moffat (my favorite), I can't wait to see where this season of Doctor Who takes us next.

'...Russell T. Davies, who revived the series in 2005, returns as showrunner with four specials before the fourteenth season officially kicks off next year. David Tennant and Catherine Tate reprised their roles as The Doctor and Donna Nobel, with Ncuti Gatwa becoming the Fifteenth Doctor at the end of the 60th Anniversary Special. The Christmas Special, "The Church on Ruby Road," will introduce his new companion Ruby Sunday, played by Millie Gibson.
Screen Rant interviewed Ncuti Gatwa about playing the Fifteenth Doctor in the Doctor Who specials "The Giggle" and "The Church on Ruby Road." He explained how he emulated certain mannerisms of Tennant while making The Doctor his own by focusing on his more mischievous side....
You got to work with David Tennant in "The Giggle". Did you want to incorporate any aspects of his performance or any other past Doctors into your portrayal of the character?
Ncuti Gatwa: Yes, all of them. And then I realized that my brain was going to explode, but I tried to do that. I had this whole theory of being like, Right, I'm going to take something from every single Doctor, and I'll find my own thing, and it'll all match. But I was like, you just have to do you Ncuti, you just have to do you. But with David, yes, there were a little aspect of his performance and the intricacies of his physicality. I wanted to try just the tiniest, tiniest percentage, try and emulate.
Because 15 has literally just popped out his shoulder. So he's being birthed from this Doctor in a way that we haven't seen before. And so there were little things that I wanted to continue on with, certainly just for Christmas, certainly. And then he'll find a bit more of his own physicality as he goes on. Because he has to get used to that body very quickly. He doesn't have that classic episode where he's trying to figure out his new body and is slightly like half-drunk sort of thing.
He arrives, and there's a God villain, a villain God in front of him and, also 14 is still here. People are [here], also this bi-generation. Lots of things are going on at the moment, so he has to find his feet very, very quickly. And so yeah, to help me with that, I was like, I'm going to steal a little bit of what David's doing. I feel like it'll makes sense.
When you were working with David Tennant, did he kind of pass on any words of wisdom to you about playing the Doctor or any of the other past Doctors, did they kind of give you any advice on taking on this role?
Ncuti Gatwa: Certainly not with playing the role, but they told me to enjoy it. To enjoy it. This is the maddest time of my life. It's going to be the maddest time of my life. It's going to be the biggest rollercoaster of my life, but it's going to be the best time as well. And so, throughout all the madness, all the chaos, and the peak in the interest in you and all that kind of stuff.
Just remember, at the core of it, it's fun. This is a very fun show, and it's important to have fun with it. And I now learning to take that advice on board. Season one I couldn't quite because I just felt I needed to get it right. I was like, I have to get this right, and I have to be perfect! But now those nerves are settled, and now I just enjoy it.'

[For Mobile Users] Compiled Info
(everything in the links is re-posted here!)
Season 2 Information
Here we go again...
“Here we go again…”
Welcome back to Mixedverse!
The previous server ended awhile back, but due to prolonged interest in the AU and people wanting to do more for it, we’ve rebooted it! It’s a bit different now, though.
When we began the last server, most people didn’t really understand how things worked or exactly what was happening. Our biggest misunderstanding was assuming that MV (Mirrorverse) characters were being brought into the NV (Normalverse) world, rather then them both being merged into a middle ground.
Although that is still our official lore for this AU, we decided for the RP server we would go along with it! So…
For our AU, it’s the opposite of that.
The characters from the NV world have been sucked into the MV world, while going about their business. All you have to do to get there is blink.
Other Changes:
The most important changes have been to the application and muse receiving processes.
Applications for the most part have stayed the same, however there’s a new concept called muse lock that we’re using.
There are short periods where muses are unlocked. You may claim characters, trade characters with other people, and whatever else you wish to do with them during this time. However..
When you are muse locked you may not claim any new characters or obtain new characters in anyway. The only thing that you can still do is drop muses, however they may not be replaced with a new one until the next time that muses are unlocked.
Well, what are the times that muses are unlocked? What does that mean for joining?
Sadly, another thing that we’re going to be including is that you can only join while muses are unlocked. However, we will be accepting applications at any time! They’ll just only be approved once new muses can be taken. This also gives us time to look over everything and make sure that everyone has a fair shot at getting the muses that they want.
We are currently accepting applications!
The next time muses will be unlocked: July 1st - 4th 2019 ---------------------------
Mixedverse AU Information
Welcome to Mixedverse
Two verses merge, they’re similar but the people that reside in them are.. very different. And no one knows who’s who.
“Two verses merge, they’re similar but the people that reside in them are.. very different. And no one knows who’s who.”
Welcome to the Mixedverse AU! It’s a Mirrorverse AU where MV characters and normal characters (Normalverse) have been introduced to a similar, middle-ground verse.
At first, they might not notice anything at first. Maybe they only run into people from the same verse at first- But then, they notice that one of their friends is actually COMPLETELY abnormal. Slowly but surely they’ll eventually realize that something is wrong.
This is a good opportunity to explore different types of relationships! As well as have a slightly over-arching plot over the entire story.
Mirrorverse Info
Mirrorverse is an AU that was inspired by the Spookyfish episode of South Park, where a mirrored version of Stan, Kyle, and Cartman came into the world. It’s most commonly known where it was represented in a Kyman fanfic, as well as artwork from sleepyeule. You do not need to have read this fic.
The basic premise is that the characters are.. well, mirrored. That doesn’t mean they’re complete opposites, but some of their most important traits are removed. The best example of this is with Cartman. Mirrorverse Cartman has his general horrible and selfishness removed- Which leaves him kind, empathetic, but he’s still pretty gullible and manipulative like he is normally.
[Note; if anyone is shying away from taking an MV character because they either don’t know how a character would act or haven’t done it before- I suggest taking a muse you normally wouldn’t do since they’re going to be mirrored. As well as, ask for help if you’re having trouble at all.]
Normalverse Info
Normalverse is a weird thing to call it, but it’s basically just the canon world! The characters are just as you know them, and there’s nothing too big to note.

Rules
Rules for the Discord group!
1. Have common decency. I’d prefer not to have multiple rules just telling you to be a chill person and respect people. No harassment, bullying, shaming people, etc. Just be reasonable, you don’t have to get along with everyone or be completely unconditionally nice, obviously, but be civil!
2. If you’re uncomfortable, tell someone. This goes hand in hand with the first thing, but if you have drama going on with someone, if you’re being harassed, or if you have a problem with someone, tell a mod or the owner. They’re there for a reason: to help you!
3. Stay in character. Keep in character, there will be a bit more lee-way for Mirrorverse characters than for Normalverse characters since they’re up to interpretation. There will still be standards for them, though, and expectations for how they should act in a mirrored sense. Relationships shouldn’t be changed entirely and characters shouldn’t have sporadic personality changes.
4. Whatever’s in the show is okay. South Park uses slurs constantly, is generally inappropriate and gross, and if you’ve watched the show then you should expect this. I’m completely up for helping people feel more comfortable if they do have things that really upset them, but I’d like to make it clear that I want people to be comfortable using what’s been aired on public television.
5. Minors are allowed. We’re more selective when it comes to people that are underage, but we do allow them! There’s no NSFW allowed, and be aware that some of the people you might interact with could be under 18.
6. Roleplay etiquette. Basically, follow the basic, more well-known roleplaying rules. No god-modding, auto-hitting, mary sues, self-inserts, match post length, try to keep from really small posts if you’re doing literate RP.
7. IC =/= OOC. If a character says something mean to a character in a roleplay, that’s from a character to another character. It’s not to you personally, and those things should be entirely independent of each other.
8. Please be active. If you know you have issues with activity, which is perfectly fine, please inform someone and try to take a role that’s not going to require you to be there constantly. IE, someone playing Stan and only being here once a week could be a problem, but someone playing a character like Pip or a kinder would be completely acceptable.
9. No ship drama. Please, don’t force-ship, don’t shame people for certain ships, for liking things, for not liking things. Shipping is really subjective and some people are different. However, on that note, pedophilic and incestuous ships aren’t accepted in this server in any respect.
10. Characters can die. Muses can be seriously injured and even killed! If a muse is killed, they will never be brought back.
11. Joining? To join the Discord server, submit an application to this Tumblr using the application. If you know someone that’s already in the server, it’s generally easier to get in.
We are accepting applications at all times!
We will be approving applications and letting people join the server through July 1st - 4th 2019.

Week-End Update: Singing in the Season
The pups & Mini Paws always look forward to ushering the holidays with a nice visit to Sunrise Senior Living in Exton and, despite our first snowfall yesterday, this year was no different. The pups that join us may change each year but the smiles on the faces of the residents don’t and that always puts everyone in the best of moods.
A visit to some old friends wasn’t the only thing that kept our spirits bright this week. We, of course, have a bunch of pups who are happy to say they’ll be celebrating the holidays in their very own furever home!
Haydro finally met his match in a Samoyed named Hamilton and decided not only that they needed to become brothers, but that he needed an equally cool name (Banksy) to mark the start of his new life. TLC alum Alvin was happy to become a big brother with the addition of little Miss Sadie to his family and Amos (now Kasey),  Archer, Boomer, Brienne, Cleopatra, Daisy, Dakota, Dennis, Dharma (probably Finley), Donald, Hoss, Kody, Laverne (who will be little sis to Ziva’s pup Major FKA Woodstock), Momo (now Loki), Sadie & Tanner were also adopted this week!

We also received some pupdates and fun pics/holiday/snow day pics of some alumni to share:
Dean

“Dean has been the cherry on top of my 2017.  I’m so happy to have him.  Thanks to the TLC team for bringing him to me.”
  Buddy FKA Ivan
Buddy FKA Ivan
“I changed Ivan’s name to Buddy & he’s doing extremely well. Buddy is learning a lot & growing quickly. He’s almost completely house trained & has taken to FeFe (1.5yo male cat). Just yesterday, Buddy licked FeFe as he just sat there unafraid of the energetic puppy. It was a precious sight & I wished I had my camera on hand.
Buddy is already enrolled for a 6-week Puppy training course commencing next Saturday. I understand it’ll take a lot of patience & consistency to provide the best environment for Buddy to learn & thrive. I look forward to our upcoming (& future) training sessions.
Thank you for allowing Buddy to join my family. I’ll keep you updated with an email every month or so. Here’s a picture of Buddy before last week’s Eagles’ game.”
  Max FKA Xavier
Max FKA Xavier
“Thanks for checking in. He is settling in very well! He’s gotten more and more comfortable each day. We changed his name from Xavier to Max and we are trying to schedule a vet appointment for this week. We will be sure to keep you updated and maybe we can rescue a friend for him one day!”
    Sadie FKA Arleen
“We are so thrilled to have Arleen! She is now learning her new name- Sadie and seems to be adjusting great to her new life. She is a real gem! We love her. Thank you for making the adoption process so smooth. If I can figure out how to attach photos I will or will send separately when my daughter can help me ( technology is not my friend lol).
Thank you again!”
  Chase FKA Sam
#gallery-13 margin: auto; #gallery-13 .gallery-item float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; #gallery-13 img border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; #gallery-13 .gallery-caption margin-left: 0; /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
“Hi Jeanine! Yes, Chase (aka Sam) and I just celebrated 6 months together! The best decision I ever made. A lot of work as a single working Paw-rent, but so very rewarding! Give love, get love. And I have a great dog walker helping me with lunchtime walks.
Found out he’s not a Beagle mix at all, he’s mostly Treeing Walker Coonhound (62.5% according to Wisdom Panel, with a little Springer Spaniel 25% and Lab12.5% mixed in). But 100% handsome! Strangers often comment how handsome he is, and I agree completely. We’re both lucky to have each other.
Was 53 pounds at our last visit to the vet about a month ago, hoping he’s almost done growing as he’s almost 9 months. I will have a crate to donate to TLC shortly as he’s outgrowing his current one.
He even had the opportunity to do a photo shoot with Petplan- not sure yet if he’ll be in any promo materials or the calendar but it sure was fun!
We’ve been busy – taken a number of classes with Peppers Paws, joining group walks, traveling to visit family. We did Miles for Mutts and we hope to catch one of the Santa photo fundraisers coming up. He’s super friendly, to both people and dogs. LOVES other dogs. Will lie down and submissively wait to meet them. He’s very affectionate and has many friends and admirers in our apartment community. Human and Canine!
He’s not perfect- still working on table manners and counter surfing but we’ll get there.
I’ve attached a couple of photos to show him off 😀 ok, more than a couple!
Thanks for all you do and for bringing Chase into my life!”
   Annie
“We have decided for now to keep her name Annie!
She’s settling in extremely well… she’s such a cuddle bug and her and Mowgli ( our other dog) are the best of friends …. I’ve attached a picture of Annie laying on our bed and Mowgli sleeping with his head on her. She’s perfect and such an amazing addition… she is very spoiled by us and we love her so much!!
We are going to take her for a checkup this week 🙂 thank you for everything !!!”
  Jack FKA Colby
“cannot believe it’s been a year since we adopted Jack!
He is just  a love ,and has brought so much laughter and love to our home!
He is doing well, we’re working on his eating /chewing anything not nailed down lol.
We absolutely love him !!
Thank you again for all that you guys do 🐾”
   Modie FKA Eeny
#gallery-14 margin: auto; #gallery-14 .gallery-item float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; #gallery-14 img border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; #gallery-14 .gallery-caption margin-left: 0; /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
“Eeny is now known as Modie, and he is settling in great!  He seems to love his new home and is adjusting well.  He is doing great with potty training and we are working on crate training  too.  He sleeps pretty much through the night and loves play time, walks, and naps during the day.  We went to the vet on Wednesday for a check up and to continue his vaccines and the vet said he looks healthy and is right on track!
Adopting from TLC has been a great experience.  Thank you to everyone who has helped bring Modie and I together!  I would definitely recommend this organization to anyone I know looking to adopt.  When I took Modie home, the collar I brought was too big, so we were given one at the adoption center.  He has a new collar and only wore the other one for a few hours, so I wanted to see if there was somewhere I could send the other one to be reused.  Please let me know!”
